I'm not approving of your actions. I just understand he had a master plan, as did I. His involved some disagreeable things and he asked a great deal of you, if those fictionalised accounts are in any way accurate.

I know as much about your true relationship with him as you do of my relationship with him. Which is to say: very little.

Which is why I prefer it this way, speaking to you directly.

His plan may have involved some disagreeable things, but the alternative was much less preferable.

To be honest I don't see what any of you could have seen in Voldemort. Oh, as a youth I'm sure he was charming but later? Smart to turn against him, whatever your reason.

You were lucky enough to have him confront you himself. One of the Carrows was responsible for the other.

I couldn't say which Carrow, though; they're actually quite difficult to tell apart.

I suppose I should be grateful he killed me quickly, after he finally realised in his frustration that I wasn't going to give him any information he desired. Not that he needed that much provoking.

I'm surprised he didn't try to extract the information.

I would still never have told him all he wanted to know.
