So many senseless murders happen here. It makes one wonder if the inmates that can't be trusted have too much power or that their wardens don't have a close enough eye on them. Or both.
Really, now. What is the point in all this pointless violence toward others? Is it just frustration? Because obviously nobody manages to escape because of it and nobody stays dead. So personal grudges and attempts at chaos aside, where does it really get you?

Actually, I had nothing. Fancy helping me and Spike out with this vampire business? Couple of things we can do, at least.

Date: 2010-03-24 06:16 pm (UTC)What would you like me to do?

Date: 2010-03-24 06:21 pm (UTC)Well, first of all, we can make some more potion. Second of all, how are you on donating blood? Third of all... well, do you know anything that might be useful?
private
Date: 2010-03-24 06:25 pm (UTC)Potions I can do, if they've been met with approval?
No, I won't give anyone my blood.
As to your third, I'd suggest locking all the vampires away together so they can do no harm to others until this crisis is over.
Re: private
Date: 2010-03-24 06:32 pm (UTC)Same process as before, and I know how to test them now, so it should be more efficient as a process.
...alright.
And let them starve? What if the blood never comes back?

Date: 2010-03-24 06:36 pm (UTC)You know things would be much more productive if Snape would speak to me himself and we could work together.
The vampires really aren't my problem.
private - yes, that was intended as a low blow.
Date: 2010-03-24 06:46 pm (UTC)Well, we work with what we're given.
No, they're not, but I'm curious. Would you let them starve? Let them suffer at great length for the greater good?
private
Date: 2010-03-24 06:51 pm (UTC)If the greater good means the safety of the majority on board, then yes.
Re: private
Date: 2010-03-24 07:02 pm (UTC)Even if there were potentially less drastic moves that could be taken before hand to prevent it? Which might involve giving something up from the majority, but to prevent the locking away of a minority?

Date: 2010-03-25 02:09 am (UTC)I didn't say it was the only option.
Re: private
Date: 2010-03-25 02:10 am (UTC)What would you consider other viable options? And besides, you picked that one first.

Date: 2010-03-25 02:30 am (UTC)I can only say what I would have suggested originally when you brought it up before - the blood replenishing potion.
Re: private
Date: 2010-03-25 02:33 am (UTC)Fair enough. No other solutions or ideas? I'm just curious, that's all.
private
Date: 2010-03-25 02:40 am (UTC)Other possibilities? Well, they vary here, don't they? Some need it more than others. Some can wait longer for it. Some can have animal blood instead. Generally, from what I've heard, it takes a very long time for a vampire to starve - and even then they can easily be revived, so they may suffer for a time - some of them - but they won't die.
Re: private
Date: 2010-03-25 02:43 am (UTC)So do you think asking them to suffer like that is alright? If it means the rest of us don't have to give up a pint of blood now and then?
